Perhaps less known is the effectiveness of massage therapy in treating deeper structures of the body such as ligaments, bones and joints, fascia, blood vessels, organs and other soft tissues of the body. And many other common conditions related to soft tissue and joint dysfunction Current research suggests that there is a direct link between our physical well-being and our mental or emotional state, which can be positively affected by massage therapy. Research also supports the use of massage therapy as an effective approach in injury management and rehabilitation, as well as part of a preventive care program.

Samantha (Tonner) Day is a Lake Country local. She graduated from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy and became registered as a massage therapist in 2009. Samantha works primarily on work, sport and MVA related injuries.

She incorporates a variety of techniques in her treatments including Fascial release techniques, Muscle Energy, Positional Release, Craniosacral Therapy and Lymphatic drainage. Samantha also incorporates rehabilitation stretches and exercises as part of her treatment plan.

Samantha has worked in a variety of work environments, from spa to adventure tourism. She enjoys collaborating with other therapists and has found her niche in the variety of clients and complimentary therapists that the Okanagan has to offer.
